Marshall Redhawks Dominate Pennfield 53-7, Finish Regular Season With 8-1 Record
MARSHALL, Mich. | October 26, 2026
The Marshall Redhawks completed an impressive 2026 high school football regular season Friday night, October 23, defeating the Pennfield Panthers 53-7 in a commanding road victory.
The win improved Marshall’s overall record to 8-1 and extended the Redhawks’ winning streak to four games heading into the Michigan high school football postseason.
Pennfield finished its season at 1-8 after suffering its sixth consecutive defeat.
Marshall Finishes Strong
The Redhawks entered Friday’s contest riding a three-game winning streak that included victories over Jackson Northwest, Parma Western and Coldwater.
Marshall carried that momentum into its regular-season finale against Pennfield, scoring 53 points while allowing just one touchdown.
The 46-point margin represented another convincing performance for a team that has produced several high-scoring victories this season.
Marshall’s offense has been especially productive during the closing weeks of the regular season.
The Redhawks defeated Jackson Northwest 51-22 on October 2, followed by a 47-0 shutout of Parma Western on October 9 and a 59-0 victory over Coldwater on October 16.
Friday’s victory over Pennfield gave Marshall 210 points over its final four regular-season games, an average of 52.5 points per contest.
A Season Defined by Offensive Production
Marshall opened its season with a 58-34 victory over Montrose before defeating Lansing Waverly 30-16.
The Redhawks then won a pair of competitive contests, defeating Hastings 52-45 and Harper Creek 28-26.
Their only regular-season loss came September 25, when Sparta edged Marshall 20-14.
Rather than allowing that defeat to derail the season, the Redhawks responded with four consecutive victories.
Marshall finished the regular season having scored 392 points across nine games while allowing 170.
The team’s ability to recover from its lone defeat and produce consistent offensive performances gives Marshall momentum entering postseason competition.
Postseason Outlook
Marshall’s 8-1 record places the Redhawks among the stronger regular-season performers in their region.
However, postseason football presents a different challenge. The margin for error becomes smaller, and opponents will be looking for ways to contain Marshall’s productive offense.
The Redhawks will need to maintain their offensive consistency while continuing the defensive improvements demonstrated during their late-season shutouts.
For Marshall, the regular season ended with another decisive victory and a four-game winning streak.
The next objective is carrying that success into the playoffs.
Final Score: Marshall 53, Pennfield 7.
Marshall Regular-Season Record: 8-1.
