Tom Nolan Stops Renato Moicano in Third Round at UFC Fight Night
LAS VEGAS — Tom Nolan scored a major lightweight victory at UFC Fight Night on Saturday, October 31, stopping Renato Moicano by technical knockout at 1:28 of the third round in the main event at Meta APEX.
The fight did not begin on Nolan’s terms. Moicano used his grappling experience in the opening round, taking the Australian down and threatening submissions. Nolan defended the choke attempts and survived the early ground exchanges.
Nolan began finding more success with his strikes as the contest progressed. He connected with cleaner offense in the second round and carried that momentum into the third, where punches and elbows brought the fight to a stoppage.
The victory was a significant step for Nolan against an experienced former title challenger. It demonstrated that he could withstand dangerous grappling pressure before producing a finish in his first UFC main event.
In the co-main event, Jacobe Smith defeated Randy Brown by unanimous decision. All three judges scored the welterweight contest 30-26 for Smith, who used wrestling and top control to secure the win.
The Halloween card also featured Cody Durden defeating Ode’ Osbourne by unanimous decision and Luana Santos earning a decision over Yana Santos. The official UFC results provide the full bout list and methods.
Final Score 360 will follow the UFC’s next events and any officially announced matchmaking developments involving the winners.
