Grayson Waller Retains at NXT Halloween Havoc; CM Punk Issues Championship Challenge
ORLANDO, Fla. — WWE NXT Halloween Havoc delivered championship defenses, stipulation matches and a surprise challenge on October 31, with Grayson Waller retaining the NXT Championship against Tony D’Angelo in the main event.
Waller and D’Angelo fought through an increasingly physical contest that spilled around ringside. The champion used a crowbar after the referee was knocked down, then landed a Rolling Stunner to secure the pinfall and retain the title.
The story did not end with the final bell. CM Punk appeared afterward and challenged Waller to an NXT Championship match on the November 4 episode, creating an immediate new direction for the champion.
Kelani Jordan also retained the NXT Women’s Championship, defeating Wren Sinclair after a competitive match in which Jordan targeted the challenger’s arm and used the ropes for leverage during the decisive pin.
Elsewhere, Myles Borne defeated Tavion Heights in a Weapons Wild match, Izzi Dame beat Zaria in a non-title contest, Zilla Fatu defeated Charlie Dempsey in a Very Nice, Very Evil match, and Shiloh Hill overcame Naraku.
The six-match card mixed traditional championship stakes with Halloween-themed spectacle. The official WWE results confirm each outcome and the closing challenge.
Final Score 360 will provide separate coverage of the announced Waller-Punk title match after it takes place, rather than treating the challenge as a completed result.
