Marshall’s 8-1 football team will meet 8-1 Grand Rapids South Christian in the first round of the Michigan Division 4 playoffs. The matchup is part of the same district as Hastings and Stevensville Lakeshore.
The MHSAA’s playoff-point system determines both the field and the opening bracket placement, with higher-seeded teams earning the right to host. Marshall faces a demanding postseason test despite its strong regular-season record.
The winner moves on to the district championship game. Opening-round games are scheduled for October 30 or 31, with individual start times set by host schools.
